Jen Vidal is the Adventure Education teacher at Eaglecrest High School. A Colorado native, Ms. Vidal grew up in Littleton, right at the heart of the Foothills. A Columbine High School and Metro State University of Denver graduate, this is her 19th year of teaching at the Secondary level. Formerly an Art teacher, Ms. Vidal specialized in Metalsmithing, Ceramics, Sculpture and Digital Photography.
When an opportunity to make a content-area change presented itself, she worked toward her Physical Education and Health Teacher endorsements specializing her training in Adventure Education. Ms. Vidal holds several, unique certifications: Level 1 Ropes Course, Wilderness First Responder, Basic Life Support Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, and Certified Lifeguard and Yoga Instructor. She has experience coaching basketball, softball, tennis, soccer, climbing and mountain biking. Her favorite outdoor activities include ice climbing, tele-skiing, mountain biking, camping and rock climbing.
During the summers, Ms. Vidal enjoys time in the mountains with her 13 year old Daughter. Camping, fishing and Stand Up Paddleboarding was common this summer. A highlight being a trip to Cuba, exploring the country her grandparents and father immigrated from.
Ms. Vidal's extracurricular activities at EHS include coaching the Mountain Biking and Climbing Teams. She also is a staff member of the Creek Outdoor Leadership Training Club, or COLT Club at CCHS.
